Term To Age 70 Life Insurance

We know protecting your family is important to you. To help you safeguard their future, you can get up to $300,000 of term life insurance protection with no medical exam.

You can give your family up to $500,000.00 of term life insurance protection at union group rates and because these rates are based on your age when you apply, your rate will never be lower than it is right now!

Coverage available to age 70.

Premiums are locked-in for 5 year age brackets.

  • Rates will be based on your age at the time you apply.

3-Month Labor Dispute Waiver of Premium for active union members.

  • Following the start of any union-sanctioned strike or lockout or involuntary lay-off lasting 30 or more days.
  • Waiver available once in a consecutive 12 month period (not available in all states).

Living Benefits if you are diagnosed with a terminal illness or undergo an organ transplant.

  • Collect up to 100% of your available benefits if you are diagnosed with a terminal illness and meet certain conditions (not available in all states). (1) OR
  • Collect up to 50% of the available face amount benefits should you require a heart, lung or liver transplant (not available in all states). (1)

Once approved for coverage, it is important that you read your Certificate of Insurance for the exact benefits, terms and conditions of this insurance plan as benefits, limitations, and exclusions may vary by age and State.

(1) Fees apply. Use of accelerated death benefits will result in a reduction of the face amount. An administration fee of up to $150 may also apply and the benefit you receive may be taxable. You should consult a tax advisor for more information. Please check your certificate for full details. Your beneficiary will be paid the remaining life insurance benefit, if any, upon your death.

Collective Buying Power Advantage for you and your spouse.

  • Your status as a union member means you can take advantage of group rates.

No medical exam may be required for members under age 55 who choose benefit amounts of $300,000.00 or less.

  • Acceptance is generally based on your answers to a few health questions on your application.
  • In cases where a medical exam is required, it will be done at no cost to you and at a convenient time and place.

No individual rate increase under your Union’s group master policy due to your health or any other individual reason.

You are eligible to apply for coverage for ALL unmarried dependent children at least 14 days old and under 21 years old are eligible for coverage. (1)

  • $500.00 of coverage for children 14 days old and under 6 months old.
  • $2,000.00 of coverage for children 6 months old and under 21 years old.
  • Covered dependents age 21 and over may continue coverage, if enrolled as a full time student at an accredited school, college or university.

30-Day No Obligation.

  • You have 30 days from the date you receive your certificate to review it. If you decide you don't want the coverage, all premiums paid will be refunded to you and you'll be under no further obligation.

(1) Provisions vary by state. Coverage for a dependent child stops on the date he/she ceases to be a dependent or when he/she is no longer a full time student. To continue coverage for dependent child who is enrolled as a full time student and 21 years of age, written notice to the Carrier must be received 60 days in advance of the dependent’s 21st birthday. Suicide is not covered in the first two years of the coverage. In Colorado, Missouri and North Dakota, suicide is not covered in the first year of coverage. In cases of suicide, benefits are limited to a return of premiums paid without interest.
