Renewable Term Life Insurance

Protect your family with up to $300,000 of coverage for a 10, 15, 20, or 25-Year term with no medical exam. All you need to do is answer a few health questions on the application. Coverage amounts up to $500,000 are also available to meet your needs. That's peace of mind for you and added financial protection for your loved ones.

Coverage includes a Labor Dispute Waiver of Premium** for active union members for union-sanctioned Strikes or Lockouts because we understand the importance of keeping your benefits regardless of the challenges that you may face in the workforce.

Renewable coverage prior to age 85.

  • After your initial term coverage expires, you may have the opportunity to provide proof of insurability and apply for an additional coverage term. Rates will be based on your age at that time. OR
  • Otherwise, when your term ends, you can renew annually to age 85 with no medical exam. Rates will be based on your age at that time.

Living Benefits which you have access to if you undergo an organ transplant or are diagnosed with a terminal illness.

  • Collect up to 50% of the available face amount benefit should you require a heart, lung or liver transplant.(1) OR
  • Collect up to 100% of the available benefit if you are diagnosed with a terminal illness and meet certain conditions.(1)

Labor Dispute Waiver of Premium for active union members.

  • Pays your premium for up to a whole year following the start of a union-sanctioned Strike or Lockout lasting 30 or more days (not available in all states).

Once approved for coverage, it is important that you read your Certificate of Insurance for the exact benefits, terms and conditions of this insurance plan as benefits, limitations, and exclusions may vary by age and State.

(1) Organ Transplant and Terminal Illness riders are not available in all states. Fees apply. Use of accelerated death benefits may result in a reduction of the face amount. An administration fee of up to 5% of the amount elected may also apply and the benefit you receive may be taxable. You should consult a tax advisor for more information. Please check your certificate for full details. Your beneficiary will be paid the remaining life insurance benefit, if any, upon your death.

Collective Buying Power Advantage.

  • Your status as a union member means you can take advantage of group rates not available to the general public from Union Labor Life.

No individual rate increase from the date your insurance begins for each term under your Union’s group master insurance policy due to your health or any other individual reason. (1)

No medical exam may be required for members under age 55 who choose benefit amounts of $300,000.00 or less.

  • Acceptance is generally based on your answers to a few health questions on your application.
  • If a medical exam is required, it will be done at no cost to you and at a convenient time and place that you choose.

30-Day No Obligation.

  • You have 30 days from the date you receive your certificate to review it. If you decide you don't want the coverage, return the certificate and all premiums paid will be refunded to you and you'll be under no further obligation.

(1) Rates can only be changed if changed for everyone under the Group Master Policy.

Suicide is not covered in the first two years of the coverage. In Colorado, Missouri and North Dakota, suicide is not covered in the first year of coverage. In cases of suicide, benefits are limited to a return of premiums paid without interest. Injury, illness, accidents and all other causes of death are covered.
